About me

Hello and welcome to West Country Occupational Therapy. 

My name is Jen Rolfe, I am an Occupational Therapist based in Falmouth, Cornwall. I work with adults with physical disabilities and long-term conditions in their own homes. I specialise in equipment and adaptations to enable people to live at home as independently as possible. Please have a look around the site to learn more.

I founded West Country Occupational Therapy in 2017 as an independent occupational therapist. I have seven years of experience working in Adult Social Care, firstly in Oxfordshire and then in Devon. In 2018, I started working for the University of Plymouth as a lecturer in occupational therapy. In 2024, I became self-employed full time.

I have extensive experience of working with adults of all ages, mainly in their homes, to enable them to live as independently as possible. I work with people with a wide range of disabilities and long-term health conditions.

Examples of conditions include but are not limited to:

  • Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) through illness or trauma such as a Stroke or Road Traffic Accident.
  • Progressive and degenerative Neurological Conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease.
  • Rheumatic Conditions including Arthritis and Osteoporosis – especially following joint replacement surgery.
  • Cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
  • ME, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).
